Pepkor Vacancies – Service Centre Manager

Job Purpose
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Service Centre Manager to oversee the management, implementation, and monitoring of our service-focused Service Centre operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and delivery of goods to customers in a timely and accurate manner, aligning with Pepkor’s operational standards.

Education and Experience

  • Grade 12

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in logistics

  • 5+ years of experience in consumable goods management

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and monitor warehousing operations to ensure optimal efficiency.

  • Oversee inventory control and safekeeping practices within the Service Centre.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and operational policies and procedures.

  • Manage the Service Centre budgets to achieve financial goals.

  • Drive performance optimization and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Foster a customer-centric environment, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

  • Effectively manage self-performance while collaborating with the team.

Key Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of inbound management, network modeling, and optimization.

  • Strong records maintenance and fleet management skills, including fleet utilization, maintenance/repair, and cost control.

  • Proficiency in distribution safety and responsible care practices.

  • Experience in returns management and logistics planning.

  • Ability to control and forecast budgets effectively.

  • Expertise in warehouse and inventory management.

  • Skilled in logistics cost analysis and demand forecasting.

  • Building maintenance management experience.

  • Resource management and effective judgment/decision-making skills.

  • Solid knowledge of warehousing systems and transport applications.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications and logistics provider contract execution.

  • A strong focus on customer orientation and relationship management.

  • Personal resilience and the ability to engage diverse teams effectively.

  • Risk management, integrity, and alignment with organizational values.

  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead change and enhance business performance.
