Job Description
Processor Smelter G1 B7 (Fixed Term)
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Completion of allocated tasks
- Reacting to abnormal activities and notifying the process supervisor
- Supporting team members when required
- Performing inspections on equipment
- Starting and stopping equipment as needed
- Assisting in breakdowns
- Following supervisor instructions carefully
- Applying open two-way communication
- Operating communication equipment
- Carrying out basic operational procedures as directed
Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality:
- Completing reports to required standards
- Conducting safety inspections
- Maintaining good housekeeping
- Adhering to and improving safety standards
- Reporting abnormal activities
- Participating in safety meetings
- Identifying risks and threats proactively
- Completing data logging and reporting
This role is at B7 level, reporting to the Process Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / NQF 4 (Maths, Science, English)
- Passing ABET level 4 screening
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience as a Processor Grade 3
