Job Advert Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available in our Insure, Broker Distribution unit. We are looking for a dedicated Claims Consultant to join our team in the Central Region, Bloemfontein.
Role Objectives
As a Claims Consultant, you will manage branch claims within the assigned mandate, adhering to company standards to enhance productivity and maintain Hollard’s reputation. Your role will ensure technical accuracy in claims settlement, support business growth, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise: Evaluate and investigate claims to mitigate leakage and ensure accurate settlement.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to internal and external customers, meeting SLAs and company standards.
- Broker Support: Provide technical advice and assistance beyond standard claims processing.
- Effective Communication: Engage professionally with all parties and respond to queries within 24 hours.
- Claims Registration: Ensure all claims are registered within 24 hours of receipt.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial (including AGRI) & Personal insurance.
- Strong understanding of claims procedures, insurance terminology, and legal frameworks (Prescription Act, Insurance Act, FAIS).
- Working knowledge of underwriting, risk assessment, reinsurance, and financial principles.
- FAIS compliance.
Educational Requirements:
- NQF 4 Insurance qualification or equivalent (advantageous).
