Boxer Vacancies – Finance Controller
Boxer Superstores is recruiting an experienced Finance Controller to join the team at our new Tongaat Distribution Centre, opening mid-year. This role is central to managing financial risk and maintaining the accuracy of financial reporting. The Finance Controller will take ownership of report analysis, budget performance, general ledger oversight, forecasting, and team leadership. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the financial operations of a leading retail brand.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CMA qualification preferred

At least 5 years of experience in a finance controller or similar position

Proficiency in SAP Finance

Strong understanding of financial risk management and compliance

Advanced Excel capabilities, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and macros
-
Proven ability to analyse financial data and provide actionable insights

Strong communication skills for presenting financial information clearly

High attention to detail and solid mathematical skills
Responsibilities:

Compile and validate weekly reports from internal teams

Analyse financial data and report key insights to senior leadership

Present profit and loss results weekly against budget forecasts

Collaborate with head office to ensure monthly financial reporting accuracy

Oversee general ledger postings in line with accounting standards

Provide accurate financial forecasts and identify areas for budget improvement

Lead and support finance staff to ensure consistent team performance

Manage consumable expenses with a focus on cost-efficiency and quality control
