Mr Price is inviting experienced retail leaders to join our Store Manager Talent Pool for Mr Price Cellular Stores in Northern Cape. By joining this talent pool, you will be among the first considered for upcoming Store Manager opportunities in the region.
The Store Manager is responsible for leading and managing daily store operations, ensuring store targets, innovation initiatives, and customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Ensure accurate receiving and unpacking of stock for merchandising and replenishment.
- Monitor and manage stock levels through stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to mitigate risks.
- Maintain stockroom housekeeping standards.
- Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, out-of-box failures (OBF), cellular repairs, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to drive operational action plans and improve store performance.
- Monitor in-store product performance and provide feedback to the support center to enhance sales.
- Identify opportunities to boost sales and brand awareness through in-store marketing and competitor analysis.
- Drive credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular performance to achieve budget targets.
Risk Management
- Conduct compliance checks, including admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO (Continuous Monitoring) reports, POS reports, and health & safety standards.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure full compliance.
Customer Experience Management
- Implement and maintain customer experience strategies, including markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer feedback, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure high customer service standards through effective execution of business processes.
Leadership & Development
- Lead and motivate the store team to achieve key performance indicators and align with company values.
- Identify training, coaching, and development needs, with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Recruit, manage, and evaluate team performance in line with company policies and procedures.
Innovation
- Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office, including MPOS, MRP Empower, E-Docs, and Money Hub, to enhance customer experience and streamline store operations.
Qualifications
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a store management role.
- Strong knowledge of sales & service management, budgeting, and retail operations.
- Computer literacy and excellent communication skills.
- Understanding of retail trade, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance products.
