Parmalat Vacancies – Senior Management Accountant
Overview:
Parmalat South Africa is seeking a skilled and driven Senior Management Accountant to join our Admin Department at the Port Elizabeth Plant. This role is critical in supporting continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing financial control, and driving operational efficiencies. You will provide accurate financial insights, oversee costing functions, and work closely with cross-functional teams to reduce losses and improve business performance.
Minimum Requirements:

Postgraduate degree in Accounting, with Costing as a major
-
At least 5 years’ experience in standard costing within a manufacturing environment

2 years’ experience in managing staff
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
-
High level of computer literacy (MS Office, especially advanced Excel)

Experience with BOMs, routings, and integrated systems such as BPCS is advantageous
-
Fluent in English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various departments
Key Responsibilities:
-
Supervise and guide production accountants
-
Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and GMP data analysis
-
Monitor plant yields, labour efficiencies, and production KPIs
-
Oversee monthly industrial reporting, budgeting, and accurate forecasting
-
Identify, investigate, and address stock variances and losses
-
Support the costing and implementation of new products and recipe changes
-
Facilitate training on inventory systems and reporting tools
-
Chair stock flow meetings and implement stock loss reduction strategies
-
Collaborate with Production and Plant Managers to provide insights for operational decisions
-
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and cycles
-
Support CAPEX processes by evaluating return on investment and post-implementation analysis

Ensure overheads align with annual budget targets
