Boxer Superstores is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Shift Manager to join our team at the East London Distribution Centre. About the Role:
As a Senior Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full operational scope of your shift — including inbound, inventory, and outbound processes. You will lead and develop a team while ensuring optimal service delivery, efficiency, and compliance with operational standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field

  • 3–5 years’ experience managing a warehouse or distribution centre

  • Proven ability to manage shift-based operations

  • Strong systems knowledge: WMS (HighJump), BOMM, advanced Excel, and camera systems

  • Experience in retail distribution or warehousing

  • Staff and team management experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

  • Effective leadership and communication capabilities

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal staff availability and appropriate material handling equipment (MHE)

  • Oversee all picking, receiving, replenishment, and reverse logistics operations

  • Manage inventory, stock accuracy, Chep pallet controls, and recycling processes

  • Report on attendance, productivity, and shift performance metrics

  • Take full responsibility for night shift operations when scheduled

  • Lead and develop staff and team managers

  • Drive training, upskilling, and succession planning initiatives

  • Update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Liaise with planning teams (Resolve) and transporters for efficient load management

  • Foster internal and external business partnerships
