Boxer Superstores is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Shift Manager  to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of South Africa’s leading retail distribution networks. As a Shift Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, and maintaining smooth workflow during your shift.

About the Role
Based at our Lynnfield Distribution Centre, you will manage shift activities, lead picking teams, and ensure all operations are executed efficiently and according to company standards. This role requires a proactive leader with a hands-on approach to drive productivity and uphold service levels.

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a warehousing or distribution environment

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Experience managing teams and shift-based operations

  • Willingness to work flexible shift schedules, including weekends

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication and leadership capabilities

  • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee shift operations to ensure optimal picking productivity

  • Ensure the correct number of picking staff and required resources are available

  • Supervise and maintain the readiness of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

  • Coordinate clear and effective handovers between shifts

  • Track shift attendance and compile accurate performance reports

  • Handle all shift-related administrative and operational duties
