Assistant Store Manager – Mr Price Vacancies
Mr Price is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring store objectives, sales targets, and customer service standards are met and exceeded.
Responsibilities
Stock Management:
- Ensure accurate receiving and unpacking of stock for merchandising and sales floor replenishment.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to mitigate risks and maintain adequate inventory.
- Oversee stockroom maintenance to meet housekeeping standards.
- Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
Sales Growth & Profitability:
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop operational action plans.
- Monitor store expenditure and collaborate on strategies to enhance sales performance.
- Identify and propose opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
Risk Management:
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Customer Experience Management:
- Implement and maintain customer experience processes to meet service standards.
Leadership & Development:
- Lead and support the team to achieve store KPIs and operational goals.
- Identify training, coaching, and development needs, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
- Manage recruitment, administration, and performance according to company policies.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a supervisory or assistant store management role.
- Strong understanding of sales and service management.
- Budgeting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of retail trade, branding, customer service, and product management.
