Assistant Store Manager Miladys-Westgate Mall – Mr Price Vacancies

Mr Price is looking for a motivated and self-disciplined Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, drive sales, and ensure customer service standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management

  • Ensure stock is received, unpacked, and merchandised efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels through regular stock counts, loss prevention strategies, and replenishment processes.
  • Maintain stockroom organization and housekeeping standards.
  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports to develop operational action plans.
  • Track in-store product performance and provide feedback to optimize sales.
  • Identify and implement strategies to boost sales, including local marketing initiatives, competitor analysis, and driving new accounts/memberships.

Risk Management

  • Conduct compliance checks, including admin and store audits, security protocols, health and safety standards, and monitoring reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management

  • Implement and maintain customer service initiatives, including promotions, markdowns, pricing updates, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
  • Address customer feedback to improve shopping experiences.

Leadership & Development

  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve store KPIs and align with company values.
  • Identify training, coaching, and development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee recruitment, performance management, and succession planning.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • 3 years’ experience in an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager role
  • Knowledge of sales and service management
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of retail operations, customer engagement, and brand positioning
