Value Logistics Vacancies – Workshop Manager – Pinetown

Value is seeking a proactive and experienced Workshop Manager Pinetown to oversee and manage workshop operations with a strong, hands-on approach. This role involves coordinating projects, improving workshop processes, and ensuring operational efficiency in line with the broader goals of the Logistics division and related departments.

Purpose of the Role
To manage workshop projects and operations in Pinetown with a practical understanding of project content, timelines, and integration into overall business functions, ensuring high performance and successful delivery of objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop & Project Management

  • Manage and lead operational and improvement projects within the workshop

  • Collaborate with IT, logistics, and operations teams to drive successful execution

  • Develop project plans, schedule tasks, and estimate timelines

  • Apply structured project management methodologies to ensure outcomes are met

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members

  • Track project progress and report status regularly

  • Communicate project updates and escalate any potential risks or delays

  • Ensure all project milestones are achieved on time

Operational Oversight

  • Manage daily workshop operations and activities

  • Oversee the maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards

  • Monitor resource allocation and workshop productivity

  • Handle procurement, stock levels, and inventory control

Administration & Reporting

  • Schedule and lead meetings, prepare agendas, and document action points

  • Maintain organised records and filing systems

  • Compile reports related to workshop performance, progress, and operations

  • Handle internal communication and provide timely updates to stakeholders

Analysis & Documentation

  • Analyse operational performance and propose improvements

  • Gather and document requirements for system/process enhancements

  • Create process flows and workshop-specific documentation

  • Conduct research to support strategic implementation

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management (advantageous)

  • PMI Certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project or workshop management

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong administrative and planning capabilities

  • Computer literate (MS Office and project management tools)

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Analytical and process-driven approach

  • Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure
