Job Purpose:
The Senior Laboratory Analyst is responsible for analyzing raw materials, bulk, imported, finished products, and stability samples to ensure compliance with specifications. The role includes supervising personnel, managing workloads, and ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Key Job Outputs:

  • Perform release analysis on samples.
  • Execute timely investigations of OOS results.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment (HPLC, UPLC, UV, AA, Flame, etc.).
  • Review own and peers’ work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to lab guidelines and SOPs.
  • Review and update SOPs, analytical methods, and specifications.
  • Generate high-quality, accurate reports.
  • Maintain GLP compliance in procedures.
  • Manage consumables to prevent wastage and maintain stock levels.
  • Apply knowledge of USP/BP compendia methods.
  • Assist in analytical techniques training when required.
  • Liaise with production personnel on OOS investigations.
  • Ensure all required samples are tested during the shift.

Requirements:

  • BSc Chemistry, National Diploma, or BTech in Analytical Chemistry (or equivalent).
  • 4+ years of pharmaceutical laboratory testing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP and GLP regulations.
  • Familiarity with common analytical methods and USP/BP standards.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
