The Intern: Workshop Assistant will provide hands-on support in maintaining and servicing generators and trucks while gaining valuable exposure to workshop operations.

Roles and Responsibilities
Repairs and Services:
- Assist with basic repairs and maintenance of generators, trucks, and vehicles under supervision.
- Support setup and preparation for load testing on generators using the load bank.
- Learn and adhere to workshop protocols and service requirements.
- Help the Electro Mechanic maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
- Observe and learn to review generator operator checklists, reporting discrepancies to senior team members.
Ad Hoc Assistance:
- Assist with dispatching and receiving gear and equipment as needed.
- Provide general workshop support, including tool and equipment organization.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and uphold good housekeeping practices.
Stakeholder Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong interpersonal and team relationships to foster a productive working environment.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential
- Diploma in Engineering, Mechanics, or Diesel Mechanics (NQF Level 6) – Essential
Competencies:
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Continuous learning and adaptability.
- Team collaboration and contribution to success.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must be under 35 years old.
- Candidates in or previously part of a SETA-funded internship are ineligible.
